We have to agree that there are so many moments when we feel powerless, but remember even then you still have control.

Figure out the problem, the real problem of what’s causing you overwhelming stress and get a grip on why it’s making such an impact on you.  Most of the time that we stress is because there’s nothing we can do about it and we just allow it to run its course or we might know that we are doing something wrong but yet we are not willing to do anything in order to change it.  Identify the source, and figure out how to beat it.

We have to be aware of the fact that there is no single method that might work for everyone. For this reason, you have to experiment with different techniques and strategies. As far as reducing stress and anxiety, there are 3 things that you can do to help reduce it.

 

1. Exercise

When it comes not only to reducing but also preventing stress, physical activity is always the first thing that should come to mind.  Try to exercise 30 minutes every day. When you exercise, endorphin is released, which can boost your mood and you will feel better about yourself. Not to mention it’s a great outlet for any kind of stress relief.

 

2. Social Engagement

Spending time with people, especially the ones that make you feel good and understand you. When you communicate with other people your nervous system experiences safety and also has calming effects on the body. Talk regularly with your family and friends. People are not always able to fix your problems, but they are always able to listen which is stress relieving.  The next time you feel as though you’re super stressed. Pick up a phone or join your friends at a social outing.

 

3. Adapt and Accept

There are times when we cannot do a single thing to change something that is happening in our life.  In this case try to find a more positive perspective. There are some things that cannot be avoided, so do not try to control something that is uncontrollable. You are not able to change for instance, behavior of other people, instead focus on something you can control. Control the controllable.
